Book Update
I want to thank the hundreds of persons who have emailed me asking to be kept up to date on the progress of the book. I have currently completed 542 manuscript pages, and am now writing about the events of late 2002 & early 2003. I hope to finish the book by mid-summer, with further revisions as necessary to incorporate information that comes out at Krista's trial. Until the trial is done, the story has not completely unfolded. Who ever thought that this case would take three full years from the the suicide until the final defendants would be adjudicated?

A native of Belding, also, I remember Bart and his family well. Geraldine was on the news again today once again in court (plea bargain). She is getting off lightly. Bart's "issues" can certainly be attributed to his relationship with his mother. I remember him as a middle school lad who was already doing whatever he could to impress people with his intellect, perceived power and money...and it was his mother who encouraged it at the time. His Dad, who I got to know in his later years, passed away (perhaps mercifully) before Bart's demise. Sad, sad, sad... I am anxious to read your book.
Sounds like momma Barton got the sentence most people expected yesterday (June 5th) Two (2) years probation, with one of them on house arrest for purchasing the shotgun under false pretences.
Also some rumbles that Mr. Mast is supposed to be reporting to the Bureau of Prisons this week to begin serving his 5 year sentence. Wonder if he'll end up in the same Wisconsin facility as Horton?
June 14 - Jonathan's free-range hog and goat farming website has gone "dark" with a bible passage about perseverence. Good Grief. The Federal Bureau of Prisons inmate locator shows Jonathan Mast in:
FCI Morgantown, WV currently houses minimum security male inmates.
FCI Morgantown is located in north-central West Virginia, on the southern edge of Morgantown, off State Highway 857 (Greenbag Road).
Mr. Horton has been in wisconsin for a while at:
The Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) in Oxford is a medium security institution for male offenders. An adjacent satellite prison camp houses minimum security male offenders.
FCI Oxford is located in central Wisconsin, 60 miles north of Madison. It is situated off I-39 at the intersection of County Road G and Elk Avenue.
