Happy Turkey Day.

It's been two years since that painful, tortured night. Krista had left Barton, moved out leaving nothing but a pile of empty Hermes boxes behind. Left him behind so that he could do it. Barton's choice of wine for his suicide cocktail was a lovely and expensive California Italian-style red called, Plumpjack. The wine was an inside joke at his own expense, a Shakespearean reference out of the wrong play. Macbeth might have been a better choice. Five bottles were drunk that night, including the now famous La Tache.
Barton loved to cook Thanksgiving dinner himself. It was a holiday that revolved around food and family, both things he craved but never could get enough of. One of his favorite Thanksgiving feasts was to cook and serve Turducken, a boneless turkey stuffed with a boneless chicken, stuffed with a boneless duck. Barton probably ordered one airfreighted on dry ice from here.
Two year on, and still no resolution or closure in the CyberNET debacle. Except for Barton. So fire up the oven, stick a Turducken in and open up a bottle of Plumpjack. If you can't afford the Plumpjack, then a bottle of Fat Bastard Blanc de Blanc will do.
Rest in peace Bart. I wish you were still here so you could help me write this goddamned book... you fat bastard.
Jim

Why did his wife move out? Will his suicide note ever be made public? I have seen references to it on channel 8 but that is about it.
What is Krista up to? Did she have her baby?
I don't know why but I cannot get enough of the videos you posted of Bart's presentation. Any chance of posting the entire meeting? The monkey pelt thing is hilarious. I never met him but I do know a few people that had very minor dealings with Bart and his wife.
... and a very Merry Christmas! Posted on TV8's website on Wednesday, December 20:
CyberNET wife, others indicted in fed court
Updated: Dec 20, 2006 02:07 PM EST
GRAND RAPIDS - Krista Watson and two others were indicted Wednesday morning for their role in the CyberNET fraud uncovered in 2004.
Watson, 39, her mother-in-law Geraldine and Paul Wright are charged in a criminal conspiracy to commit bank fraud, mail fraud and money laundering crimes. The charges lay out how they and others defrauded investors of approximately $100 million.
"CyberNET is a local example of a national problem," said US Attorney Margaret Chiara. "Prosecuting corporate officers for committing unconscionable acts against the public remains a top priority of my office and the Department of Justice."
The three are also charged with defrauding Huntington National Bank over a $17 million line of credit, as well as individual acts of money laundering.
Krista Watson was arrested in Chicago. Additionally, she is charged with spending money received through bank fraud, and three counts of income tax evasion for 2002, 2003 and 2004.
Geraldine Watson, 77, also faces a charge of making a false statement to a firearms dealer related to a gun purchase in late 2004.
Wright, 57, is facing a mail fraud charge connected to his commercial mailbox accounts with CyberNET. He was arrested in Grand Rapids.
If convicted on all counts, the three are facing very long prison sentences as well as the forfeiture of $3,364,412.49 in nine bank accounts.
The arraignment is set for this afternoon, and the case has been assigned to Chief US District Judge Robert Holmes Bell.
24 Hour News 8 will have more details throughout the day.
I wonder if we'll see Krista 8-9 months pregnant, or whether her May letter to the Bankdruptcy Judge was just another in a long string of lies and deception?
April 6 -
Watching the clips on the TV of the Feds raiding Mike Vorce's businesses, carting out boxes of files and records, hearing talk of the $5.2 million Macatawa bank fraud I couldn't help but have Cybernet flashbacks.
Sure hope Vorce's momma isn't out buying him a shotgun, too.
Anything moving on Cybernet?
When do the guys who've copped a plea come up for sentencing?
When is Krista's next court appearance?
