Book Progress

Most of this year has been taken up plowing through tens of thousands of documents from CyberNET. This treasure trove of primary source documents has been a godsend and a curse since I have felt the obligation to leave no stone unturned.
The writing is coming quite well. I have as of right now 133,228 words, which translates to 419 manuscript pages. I have been writing chronologically, and am now writing about 2001. I expect the first draft will be around 550 pages, but will be cut perhaps 20% in the editing process.
I appreciate the interest and patience of all who are interested in the final result of my work. I promise you that it will be well worth the wait.
The above photo was taken of Barton and Krista on February 28, 2003 in Istanbul, Turkey, and shows the Straights of Bosporus behind them.

Whatever happened to Jonathan Mast CyberNazi's VP of Sales. Surely he can not be an innocent bystander, yet you hear nothing about him in all of this.
I have been watching this closely for just that reason. Would love to get an updat on Mr.Mast
Nice clip and plug for the book on WOOD TV8 on Monday, November 13.
How long after the prosecutor "writes the final chapter" until the book will hit the shelves? Are you looking at 3-4 months? Longer or shorter?

Ex-CyberNET workers face charges
GRAND RAPIDS -- Two former employees of CyberNET are facing federal charges for their alleged role in the financial schemes of the Grand Rapids high-tech firm.
Jonathan James Mast, 37, vice president of sales at CyberNET between 2002 and 2004, is charged with criminal conspiracy, mail fraud and money laundering. The offense carries a maximum penalty of five years in prison.
David Martin Roepke, 62, the controller, is charged with one count of money laundering. The charge carries a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison.
CyberNET, also known as Cyberco, was a Grand Rapids company that provided high-tech services across the country.
In fall 2004, however, federal agents suspecting widespread fraud raided the company's headquarters on South Division Avenue. Days later, founder Barton Watson fatally shot himself in his Ada home.
CyberNET had obtained millions of dollars in loans for high-tech equipment that didn't exist.
The FBI has alleged a series of internal self-dealings that enriched Watson, widow Krista Kotlarz-Watson and former company president James Horton.

Something that I am finding very eerie about Johnathan's situation and indeed Krista's as well is that here they are going through "business as usual" in their lives as though nothing is out of the ordinary. I mean here he is with the whole big farm/adoption blog and her SHE is pumping out a kid knowing full well she is facing a long stretch. I guess it is further illustration as to how little they care about the impact of their own actions on other peoples lives, even those they "supposedly" care about.
